You could say that this is where it all started. The old thatched cottages, formerly belonging to Biggin Hill Farm, were built on the land now occupied by Lunar Close. It was here that Mr. Jesse Terry sold off plots of land on the "Aperfield Court Estate" for as little as £10. With all those hoardings in his front garden, what passer-by could fail to observe that there was cheap land for sale in the district? Land was also sold off at auction.
