This is a record of the works. If anyone wants to add to this, please email me.

Last updated: 22nd January 2015

How long have the works have been going on?

from when Woodlands arrived and removed the hedge.
(Remember, they said 18 to 24 months. That's 548 to 730 days)

16th March 2014

Now all the wet weather seems to have gone it's time to take a good look at the state of the haul road, and what a state it is in, especially over the bridge which protects the main gas pipe. There huge ruts in the road and, although there is a 5mph speed limit, i would doubt the lorries can actually get up to that speed. No wonder they have so many punctures and wheel replacements.

12th May 2014

This is a great photo showing how the importing of the soil is progressing. The area that used to be the practice ground
is now storing all the many tons of soil. The rate of soil imported has increased recently since all the wet weather and
rumour has it that all the soil needed will be here in four months time. If anyone from CLGC can confirm this then
email me at tony_lewis@clag-online.co.uk. I look forward to hearing from you.

And a couple of images from Google Earth showing the full extent of the haul road taken last summer.

So now we have fly tipping at the entrance to the haul road. Having the gate left open, a knackered old bowser and a skip has attracted the tipping of rubbish. What a lovely site.

Thank you Cherry Lodge.

  8th August 2014

Members of CLAG were invited, by Brian Bamford, to visit the golf course to show how the works are progressing. Parts look like the surface of the moon but i'm sure it will look ok when the grass has grown.

STOP PRESS!!!
22nd January 2015

We have heard today that they have now recieved enough soil to complete the works.
Apart from the odd lorry, there should be no more thundering through Biggin Hill on the way to the Main Road entrance.
The works should be over in a couple of months, depending on the weather.
Then they will complete the operation by removing the haul road.

Perhaps Cherry Lodge golf club would like to comment?
