These two shots show just how much this part of the Valley has changes over the years. Vale Cottage is on the right in both pictures. In the 'Then' there is still a piece of the remainder of Vale Cottages left but in the 'Now' picture that has long gone and the roundabout now takes it's place at the bottom of Stock Hill.
