Debbie Watkins back from
illness did a great job standing on both feet during this
shoot for March 1986. The helicopter was the Biggin Hill
based Whirlwind G-BKHA.

My friend Danny Wilson Snr. who has an endless enthusiasm for helicopters, having purchased ex military Whirlwind HAR10, XJ763, G-BKHA, gave his approval for a short hover to capture a scene similar to one from the 1959 film 'Some Like It Hot' starring Marilyn Monroe.
Debbie Watkins was to be the model. Again Debbie had difficulty standing on her two feet being knocked from one side of the view finder to the other by the force of the down wash. I would have thought she was used to being blown about after her experience with the parachute saga for the 1985 shot.
April is missing unfortunately.
