Biggin Hill Memorial Museum

After waiting years for a museum at Biggin Hill, with different schemes coming and going, it has finally arrived. It tells the story of Britain's most famous fighter station through the personal experiences of those who served there, and the community that supported them. As part of the museum you can walk through to St. George's Chapel of Remembrance (there is a 'walk-through' of the chapel as it was in 2013 here).

In March 2019 I visited the museum and took the following pictures. Upon arrival you are given a tablet and headphones with which you can play recordings of people that were there during the war and learn all about how important this station was during WW2. You walk around the museum at your leasure but allow a good two hours to see and hear everything.

For more details go to the museum's website at www.bhmm.org.uk.
