The photo of Ingle's Cafe was sent to me by Douglas Tarran. His uncle and auntie, Bill and Dorothy Ingle, owned the cafe at the time. Douglas stayed there once in 1946. The photo would have been taken around that time. Douglas says 'my Aunt told me once that Pilots used to frequent this cafe and also had a piano there'.

Before it was Ingle's, in the 1930's, it was Bunyans Green Grocer. Then it was Ingle's. Then it became the Rendezvous Cafe owned by a Bill Potts (nice to see it carried on as a cafe). Then 50 years ago in the early 1960's it was turned into a hair dressers called the Beauty Box owned and run by Lillian and it is still that to this day, still run by Lillian and Doreen.
