Coronation Terrace

Looking North     Looking South

At a point about fifty yards behind where these photographs where taken, it was planned that the Orpington and Tatsfield Light Railway would cross the Main Road and Biggin Hill Station would be built. On the right, behind 'The Garth' and 'The Limes' is 'Coronation Terrace', erected in 1902 and said to have been planned as residences for the railway staff. Of course, the railway never arrived. It was named in honour of King Edward 7th whose coronation had been postponed to that year due to his illness in the year of his accession.
