Accident: 9th November 2011
To prove, if proof were needed, how
dangerous large lorries on the A233, Main Road, are, on the 9th
November 2011 two lorries (one being a tipper) tried to pass each
other from either direction when they realised there was not quite
enough room. The North bound lorry mounted the pavement and smashed
through a garden wall straight into a power sub-station, cutting the
power to the local area. |
The lorry which smashed through the garden
wall and into the power sub-station. What if someone had been
walking along the pavement at that moment? |
All three emergency services on hand. |
Not even safe in his own home. The lorry
could easily have smashed into the side of his house. Thankfully
no-one was hurt. |
