To the left of "Squires" timber merchants, see Main road 3, is a road that leads onto the airfield. On the right of this road use to be a cluster of buildings that held the Anti-Aircraft Defence School. Nothing of these buildings remain today.

This impressive building use to stand on the land between "Squires" timber merchant and the roundabout at the entrance to the airfield. Any remains are long since gone to make way for the industrial estate. The exact position of the building can be seen on "Crossley Close" page.
